On the morning of September 14, Dr. Wilairat Kirin and Dr. Kanoknate Worawong, Director and Vice-director of Language Institute of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University (NPRU) respectively, paid a visit to BGU. The meeting for exchange was held in Room 346 of International Exchange Department. Deputy Secretary of CPC of BGU Mr. Tang Gaohua attended the symposium and Ms. Liu Weiling, Vice-director of the Department and Vice Dean of College of International Studies presided over the meeting.

This meeting was the first offline interaction between the two sides after the epidemic. Mr. Tang Gaohua expressed his warm welcome to the delegates from NPRU at the symposium. He mentioned the close relationship between BGU and NPRU and hoped that the two universities would continue to engage in more high-level internationalized exchanges and collaboration and raise the standard for the development of transnational talent. In the meantime, Mr. Tang hoped that the BGU and NPRU students would take full advantage of the exchanges to extend their outlooks on the world, enhance their cross-cultural awareness and competence, and become the builders of China-Thailand friendship. The students would serve as the cultural communicators to encourage cross-cultural interactions and even educational cooperation between China and Thailand.

Dr. Wilairat Kirin expressed her appreciation for BGU’s warm welcome. She claimed that BGU and NPRU are similar to brothers and sisters that support and advance one another. She also anticipated boosting the quality of Thai education at the two universities by promoting the online teacher training program and further extending teaching cooperation.

Staff members from International Exchange Department, College of Humanities, College of International Studies who were involved in the mutual exchange attended the meeting.
