The much-anticipated Wonderland Summer Camp commenced with an exhilarating opening ceremony. The event, held on July 9, 2023, at Beibu Gulf University, witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of kids, parents, and organizers. Ms. Feng Li, Dean of College of International Studies, Ms. Liu Weiling, Vice Dean of College of International Studies, attended the ceremony. Ms. Ye Yuanhe, Deputy Director of Center for Languages and cultures of College of International Studies, hosted the event.

During the opening ceremony, Ms. Ye Yuanhe introduced the teachers to all participants. Later, campers and their parents enjoyed a performance presented by the faculty, which received thunderous applause. Ms. Liu Weiling delivered a welcome speech. Ms. Feng Li declared the open of the 2023 summer camp.

This weeklong summer camp offers tailored English courses for local primary and middle school students to meet the needs and goals of the participants. Students have a chance to explore Chinese traditional culture and Southeast Asian culture, and to improve their English and develop skills that go above and beyond the traditional classes. In addition, a wide variety of activities are planned. Activities may include drawing, dancing, basketball, and taekwondo.
